Today I woke up really sore, especially in the buttocks. Strangely I could walk fine in heels so that's what I wore to church today. I had hoped to get a 10km bike ride in this afternoon while A had her afternoon nap but sitting on my arse was just to tempting.
So a quick short bike ride this evening just before dinner was squeezed in before the day was gone.

Day Four
I was woken early this morning by A who did not want to go back to sleep, which meant I was up in time to go to the Hamilton Road Runners meet.
I started out with the running group 3 but as it had been over a month since I was last there I struggled to keep up and after 2.5kms I decided to leave them to it and was going to just run around the lake until I saw the walking group near by so I joined them and walked for 6.4km so almost 9km all up today :)
Going to run as much as I can this week in hope that I can keep up with them next week.

Day Three
Slept in again, so no gym, and I had two extra kids today so apart from keeping up with them I didn't manage any exercise during the day.
I couldn't fail on just day three so as soon as hubby got home I jumped on my bike and cycled down to the supermarket and back. Only 1.46km but it was still exercise.
Tomorrow I aim to get up and organised in time to go out with the Hamilton Road Runners in the morning.

Day Two
Yay I managed to get to the gym!! had to hunt out a treadmill but I got a run in. Due to the maui gas leak there was no hot water to shower, so I only had a run and no weights so I could get home and have a hot shower there before hubby had to leave for work.

Day ONE
I almost didn't make it, and on day one it would be a very very bad start if i didn't exercise.
So I set my alarm this morning in time to get to the gym but while feeding Grace back to sleep I ended up back asleep too.
I did think about biking to mothers group in the morning, but I lent my bike helmet to a friend so that was out of the question.
So after dinner I loaded Wii Fit Plus and clocked up 38mins.
So day one is done, only twenty nine days to go...

I'm crap at blogging
I talk about reporting back the next day but I never do.
I do have plans of blogging every day but well that just doesn't seem to happen...
So I'm going to try again, but no promises.
My little sisters wedding is just one month away today!! and I'm still over 10kgs heavier than where I want to be. So it's time to get my arse into gear and lose as much as I can in the next 30 days.
So my challenge to myself is 30 days of exercise. That means EVERY day I have to do some form of exercise.
I will also start doing meal replacement shakes again.
I'm also not doing it alone this time, a good friend is joining me - not with the 30 day challenge but she's trying to lose 5kgs before her 30th birthday which just happens to be the same day as my sisters wedding.

struggling
I love food, the sweeter the better.
I also love hot fatty salty foods.
This love of food doesn't help with weight loss. I've been eating anything I want all week, including chocolate, lollies, and home baking. As I type this I'm eating some homemade ginger bread which has been decorated with jaffas.
I also haven't been to the gym in almost 2 weeks. I feel fat and lazy.
My goal is to get to the gym tomorrow morning no matter what. Tomorrow I plan to have 3 healthy meals and I'll check back here in the evening to report back on if I meet my goals and make new goals for the next day.

Wow I totally forgot about this blog. Don't know what happened to all the old posts...
I think I might breath some life back into this place and post a bit about my current journey.
My last weight loss journey was stopped in it's tracks by a pregnancy which wasn't meant to be as we lost that child at 12 weeks gestation. I don't remember how much time after the miscarriage before I started trying to lose again but any weight I had lost found it's way back if not more.
My goal of surprising my sisters at Christmas didn't really work, neither really noticed any difference and didn't say anything.
In May 2010 I gave birth to my daughter and by November I was ready to finally get serious about losing weight.
So here are the scary numbers....
My largest recorded weight 130kgs - I may have been heavier as I did not go anywhere near scales unless I had to.
My largest clothing size 26 which is a size 24 in US
In November 2010 I stepped on the scales and I was 108.6kgs and was wearing a mix of size 22 and 24
Over the following months my weight started going down and staying down. I had meal replacement shakes twice a day and my main meal for lunch. I didn't buy any special weight lose system - just went to the supermarket and found something cheap which tasted nice.
I also started running. I did this by following the couch to 5km program which I've finally finished and completed my first 5km run last weekend at the Hamilton half marathon completing the run in 40:12 which would not break any kind of record but I'm happy.
Next weekend I have the Waikato half marathon and I've signed up for the 10km run. I don't plan on running the whole 10km as I haven't trained for that, but I do plan to run as much of it as i can.
Today I weight 78.9kgs and I wear size 12 on the bottom and size 14 up top.
I have another target... My little sister is getting married on the 26th of November and I would like to get to my goal weight of 70kgs by then.
